Enlightenment!
So about two weeks ago I was very upset just going through stress from school, friends, my ex boyfriend and all. It was recent that i experience a big change in my life (a good one) because of a simple book. The book is called the "JagaJyotti" it means enlighten in Bengali. It's a book about Buddhism. i never really payed close attention to Buddhism and what Buddha said about enlightenment and how to reach happiness. As i started to read, I realized how right he was about human and their behavior, he stated that the key to happiness is to cut down on your desires (your wants and needs) and have peace with people as much as you can. Think of the good, be good and in the end you will be happy. Before I used to think happiness was all about being the most smartest, pretty. and get whatever you want. I realized how wrong I was and that the more we get, the more we want which creates problems such us selfish, greed, doubts, and pain. So i started to apply the method of "enlightenment" and I'm beginning to see many improvments. I don't cry myself to sleep anymore, nor do I get jelous, or have doubts. Sometimes it is hard to be honest or think positive but the more you get yourself to it and make it as a habit, your life would be much more easier. I'm still reading about Buddha's sayings because if you apply it to your life, it actually will help for people to be successful. So yeah that was that and I'm much happier now that I focus on all the good things that are in my life such as my family and friends.
